Bridesmaids may soon be brides; one wedding brings on another.
- Salt-cellars: C. H. Spurgeon, 1919.

The best thing a bride-to-be could have (apart from a groom that is) is the help of other brides. Only brides know how difficult a wedding can be and the toll it can take on the family members as well as on the couple who is getting married. So we thought we will make it easier for you to connect with other brides. Here them speak on their favorite vendors, their most chaotic moment, the times that make it all worthwhile and their two bits on how to ensure you enjoy a flawless wedding!

Through Bridesconnect, we provide a unique opportunity to our brides and grooms to network and share their plans, dreams and experiences.

The Search for the Perfect Photographer & Videographer:  Sita and Tony (married on August 25, 2005)

When my fiancé and I were planning our wedding I knew I wanted to invest a good amount of time in finding the right team for the job.  In my opinion this is your greatest investment.  Every other material aspect will be gone after this day, but your photos and video will last a lifetime and bring a smile to you whenever you view them.

The photographer is the one who can capture your timeless moments from your most memorable day of your life.  I was very lucky to have found the perfect photographer through word of mouth of friends and family.

Amish and his team were amazing.  He and his staff took a personal interest to get to know my fiancé and myself.  We had a pre-wedding photo and video session to allow us to get acquainted with Amish and his staff and provide us the opportunity to understand hands on what to expect from him in regards to pictures and video.  This was a terrific idea.  It gave us an insight for what our photos and video would look like.

I have to say he and his team exceeded my expectations.  The pre-wedding photo session and video session especially gave my fiancé and I the chance to get to know Amish and his team more personally this was key especially for a person like myself with a shy personality.  I was able to feel relaxed and very comfortable during the day of the wedding and reception.

Amish and his staff put ownership and dedication into our finished products which perfectly represents their name….. Fine ART…

They made my fiancé and I feel beautiful.  I would like to commend them on the service and work they provided me and will choose them for all my lifetime events.  Thank you Fine Art Studio!

Having a competent photographer at our wedding was an important factor in setting up our wedding plans.
We knew that we would both be so wrapped up with overwhelming feelings on our special day that we might forget some of the
important memories that we'd want captured for a lifetime. Choosing you for this role took no deciding time at all upon our
first meeting together. Your positive personality, creativity, and the interest in us as a couple and what we would want our
pictures to represent, left us with no doubt in our mind that you were not only talented but truly dedicated to your profession and
clients.
You proved to be all that we expected and much more. You were diligent in capturing moments that we were both unaware of! And for this we are thankful because we are now able to look back and feel the excitement of the day all over again. You went above and
beyond your call of duty, photographing guests at our wedding and reception. I have no hesitations in recommending you to friends
and family, and am sure that they would be just as happy as we were with your quality work, friendly personality, and top
professionalism. Thank you so much for doing such a fabulous job. We've had nothing but compliments on them!!!
recommends=Fine Arts, Abhishek Decorators, DJ Volcanic, and Nina Doshi (hair/makeup)
two bits=Keep everything in perspective. The day itself will be full of surprises, some of them much more wonderful than you
could ever have planned. So once you have done what you can, take a deep breath, relax and enjoy the ride. Wish you good luck.

Hemangi and Falgun (married August 19, 2006)

We reserved Fine Arts to be our wedding photographer & videographer a year before the wedding. We met Amish at family events and decided to speak to him regarding our options and what we could do. He was very informative and helpful with all our questions and concerns. Throughout our meetings with the Fine Arts team, everyone has been just great and very helpful from the time of the wedding to selecting pictures. They were patient and gave advice when needed, but allowed us to make the final decisions. We had a pre-wedding photo session allowing us to get more comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera. This gave us the opportunity to see our best side for the camera along with preparing us for our big day.

Amish and the Fine Arts team were really great the day of the wedding with the photo session and attention to detail. It is very important especially on the day of the wedding since neither of us would be able to pay attention to specific details. Knowing that you can rely on your photographer/videographer team to take charge of the day without any worry is the greatest feeling ever. As it is getting married and preparations for the event takes a lot out of the bride, so ladies it’s wonderful to have a team like Fine Arts to hand over a major task like photography/videography.

In our opinion, this would be the greatest investment you can make. Everyone loves a grand wedding with all the materialistic details, but what good is that when you don’t have the right team to capture it all. Not only did the team take the responsibility of taking the right picture, but delivering the finished product beautifully. Selecting pictures was simple, and receiving the finished product was wonderful.

When looking at our pictures now, we smile remembering all the dancing, laughing, and entertainment that occurred. We were the couple of the hour and it truly shows in the pictures. The service provided by the Fine Arts Team was wonderful. Attention to their client was flawless as their pictures. Thank you from both of us!

Suja & Pratik (May 19, 2007)

Planning a wedding is difficult enough, planning an Indian wedding is like having a second full-time job. Planning a wedding should be fun and exciting. These are my helpful tips to ensuring a fantastic and enjoyable wedding.

1. How many people?!? - First and foremost, figure out the number of people you plan on inviting then choose the events: bridal shower, bachelor/bachelorette party, garba, mendhi, vidhi, wedding, reception, after-party.

2. Know the Details - Learn as much as you can about each of the events, especially the wedding. Familiarizing yourself with the order and significance of each ritual will make your day that much more special.

3. Budget, Budget, Budget - Each event should have a planned budget. Include: banquet facility, caterer, florist, decorator, make-up & hair, clothes, jewelry, invitations, stamps, wedding programs, cake, personalized cake knife & server, personalized wine glasses, DJ, hotel stay, hotel welcome bags, photographer & videographer, priest, favors, limousine or horse carriage, wedding rings, bridal party gifts, and honeymoon.

4. More Than Words - Invitations are extremely important. Make sure you proofread the invitation, and then have 3 other people proofread the invitation. If you have a limited budget, make sure to account for postage mostly for size and weight and do not forget the postage on the reply card.

5. Contact Numbers & Contracts - Keep all the contracts and contact numbers in one binder so that they are easily accessible.

6. Outline a Preliminary Schedule - Wedding schedules change often, but as the wedding day approaches, finalizing a schedule to send to the vendors will be a much smoother process. Also make sure the outline includes photography, especially the order of family photos. Family photos are extremely time consuming and may become chaotic if it's not organized properly.

7. Point Person - Make sure you appoint someone to be in charge of your day, choose this person wisely! Choose the person that will get the job done and who is familiar with both sides of the family and the vendors. I chose wisely, and my point person came through with flying colors.

8. Confirm Vendors - A week or two before the wedding, make sure you confirm the schedule with all your vendors. Also, do not forget to have a play list for your DJ. Even if you don't know what songs to choose, you should inform your DJ with the type of music to play or you might be doing the Macarena all night long.

9. Bridal Expos - Try to attend at least one. Though the number of vendors can be overwhelming, do not be tempted to sign a contract until you have met with the vendor at least twice.

10. Finally- my last piece of advice is to maintain a To-Do List and assign responsibility. You'll feel accomplished as the list dwindles.

These are the vendors who I highly recommend:

Photography/Videography - Fine Art Studio

DJ - Magic Mike

Dhol Player - Madan Madi

Make-up/Hair - Sushmita Patel

Horse Carriage - Equishare Baraat Horses

Caterer - Chand Palace

Banquet - Hanover Marriott in Whippany, NJ

Favors - The Main Event (Photo Favors)
